Growing up in a large family with a house full of pets, I got my very own dog, Raggs, when I was 10 years old and attempted to train him myself.  Looking back, I couldn’t tell you who trained who, but it was the start of  my love for learning to understand dogs and what makes them tick!

While working full-time in the financial industry, my passion grew stronger when I adopted my Dalmatian, Murphy.  Murphy was given up by a family who had purchased her as a puppy, but had no idea how to train her.  At 8 months old, I found her in dire need of training from housebreaking to basic obedience. She was my second real project in dog training, and I was determined not to fail her.  After taking classes at the MSPCA and reading just about every book available on the subject, I worked with Murphy until she evolved from what some called a hopeless case, to a most delightful, mannerly companion.  She was beautiful and so well behaved, people stopped me constantly to comment how wonderful she was.  It was her good behavior that prompted so many people to seek my advice on training their own dogs.

Many years later, now a full-time mother, I brought our current dog, Sunny, a retriever mix, into our life as a puppy.  I began practicing the modern technique of positive, force-free training and found it so simple!  It was then that I realized I could help so many people achieve the same result with their dogs.  Sunny was a pleasure to train, and I still learn so much from her.  And once again, people are continuously telling me what a wonderful dog I have.  I look forward to helping you achieve that same pleasure and pride of having your lifetime companion be the best dog they can be!
